This week i read an article about why do characters never say goodbye on the phone. It’s very funny that i have never noticed that, but it really is. Their conversations stopped in silence. Actually it seems quite rude. it seems as if it is an intentional decision in scripted shows and films. Maybe to add tension, but the most probable thing is that it has got more to do with something called time management. They have to arrange every minute of the show very precisely, so sometimes it’s convenient to cut so insignificant piece like saying goodbye.
It has so much sense so i think that it’s a very probable option. I’m sure that very much people didn’t notice this detail like me so it’s a great option for time managers to save some seconds.
