To be honest, i don’t know if he should pay for his wife dead. On the one hand, he had left her on her own knowing, that she’d soon die and he didn’t help her. On the other hand, before she had died, she wasn’t playing fair with him - he couldn’t do anything, that she didn’t like. She was blackmailing him and trying to get his attention by suicide attempts. I think he should be punished for her dead only because he didn’t provide first aid. Her dead wasn’t his fault, she was just ill and he knows that sooner or later it will happen.
